Why is it needed?

A control system is an essential requirement to manage all the inputs, outputs and other functions of any system, allowing systems and equipment to work.

A control system uses inputs from various sensors to drive actuators to control part of a system.

What makes it special?
  •  In Less than one 14th of a second the engine can detect changes in conditions such as rain, and modify it’s behaviour in response
  •  Control systems must be able to survive lightning, fire and cosmic radiation
  • It is expected to last 30 years – rather than the 5 years  expected from a laptop
